Spent a bit of time yesterday installing the UHF in the Cruiser, was pretty straightforward as i used the power that was already there from the old unit, snipped off the connector and soldered it all up.

Installed Hama's radio in his roof console. Took a bit more doing, but it came out pretty good in the end. Lucky bastard got two bolts to hold his radio in, i got jibbed with only one. Need to go back to Oricom and punch the spud who made mine.

Mounted mine down under the dash, simply because that's where the original one was so the power was already there.

As you can see, one has a thread...the other doesnt...wtf indeed.

I like your CB there, it's out of the way. I can tell the roof mount in mine with the cord dangling everywhere might get annoying when bouncing around on the tracks.

yeah nice spot to put the unit mate, hate people who put it under the steering wheel, smack my knees on them there. Apparently awnings at ARB are on sale for 90 bucks at the moment down from 300 odd, not sure what size they are, but yeah just letting you know mate! (size would be either 1.25m, 2m or 2.5m X 2.5m i think)

Cheers SG & Ed , it actually has an awning on the roofrack, just isnt visible in the pictures very well. Havent pulled it out as yet to have a look. It's only a 1.25m from what the old owner was saying. But thanks for the tipoff. Might pull it out tomorrow and check the condition.

When you get your dump pipe you can get the bung for pyro guage as well
