So can you give us a breakdown. I'm not keen on watching 3 hours.
I just spent 3 hours trying to fix a router issue at home.
It was really good. I had to warm to the guy doing the pod cast. Toward the end he relaxed a bit and some good conversation flowed. Not forced.
Al’s story was really interesting. He has shared that over the years in bits and pieces. This had much more detail. You learn what makes him tick.
Over all, he tends to really push himself in unfamiliar jobs. Or in automotive but different parts of automotive industry. Does it for a bit. Learns lots. Then finds himself no longer challenged and moves to something else.
About half way they get into a fair bit about the skid factory. From what I took away, he was a little reluctant to do the YouTube thing but it was a new challenge and he enjoyed it.
He really enjoys sharing knowledge. It’s a running theme in his life. He feels rewarded by that experience.
He has just got to a point where the YouTube’s was getting in the way of what he wanted to enjoy doing.
He was stoked that Woody is continuing on with it. He goes into how much Woody puts into editing and filming the show. If he went into how they met, I missed it.
He talks about being a Dad and mentions how he teaches and pushes the boys to do well with their education because he didn’t. He wasn’t driven with it. Stuffed around.
Although that’s why I listened to the podcast, it’s the last ¼ I enjoyed the most where they both chat about cars and Al really seemed more at ease doing that. They both did.
Al doesn’t suffer fools well and there can be quite a few fools who are also fans and he seems to wrestle a bit with that.
