Hey all regarding my last post on my alternator overchargeinhbi couldn’t get to a auto elc so thought I’d try trouble shooting my self so I went onto the cars settings via mode and set buttons and went onto the battery voltage screen on my Dash and when the car is running it’s at around 14 -14.7 Volta but when I rev it to where it normally cuts out I see it rise to 18 Volts. Is this my alternator? I can’t get my multimeter into the alternator to conform but if anyone understands what I’m saying as I’m all over the place haha would be a huge help if you could answer my question thanks everyone have a safe weekend

that is the regulator inside the alternator
which is a separate part that can be changed
or replace whole alternator

This is the regulator that fits your Bosch Alternator
Part # - RE72

It can be replaced without removing the Alternator,
Disconnect the Battery "Negative" terminal,
Disconnect the plug on the back,
Carefully remove the 2 x Phillips Head Screws,
And tilt the old one out,
Then tilt the replacement one in,
Re-fit the 2 x Philips head screws,
Re-fit the Plug
Re-connect the Battery terminal,
Re-check the output voltage.
