Im getting my L77 tuned this week and I asked the guy doing it to tune the trans as well because I have heard it really makes a big diference.
He kind of went "ahhh yeah, we can do that, ahh what do you want?"
Some back and forth and all his answers were very vague and the price was very cheap, $250.
I was talking to another shop prior and they were very exact in what they said they could and would do but they were too busy so recommended this other shop, their price for the trans tune was $600. They mentioned I could have sport mode be very aggressive and normal auto mode be stock which sounded good.
So, is tuning an auto easy? Do I want to have an expert do it to get good results? I dont have much confidance in these guys after talking to them but maybe its not hard.
What should I be asking for, Im just after good street performance, its not a daily driver either, I have seen the following:
• Transmission shift points
• Transmission shift firmness
• Transmission torque reduction
• Transmission shift pressure
• Torque converter clutch
The shop is here in SA, I dont really want to name them... but its in Seaford.
