Vf2 Ssv Redline Sedan
Hey all,

first time member here. Got me a vf2 ssv redline fully stock. Keen for a better note to come out the back end. Is it worth spending the extra money to get a full exhaust? Or, is a 3” cat back decent enough?

cheers

3" cat back is definitely a noticeable upgrade. I'd want front and rear mufflers on it , I don't like the noise of straight through rear.

I love di fillipo and Manta pro my two favourite exhausts. I've not heard one with hotdog front it'll be loud but I think the notes might be on target.

I've got a Manta twin 2.5" catback on my Statesman and it's got the hotdogs instead of front mufflers and it sounds good.

My mates HSV VF, 1"7/8 4:1 long tube headers, 200cel cats to reduce smell, twin 3" exhaust, big resonators in the midpipe, straight thru mufflers out the back

Sounds boss

Legal? Probably not, but isn't painful on the Hwy sitting on a dollar ten

Get the full exhaust, which requires a tune. Driving a loud car that sounds like it should go but missing the important bits that make a difference is… false economy ;)

Can't go wrong with Manta. It has a nice sound.

Having sold and fitted Manta for many years, it's also my choice.
