No it's not required. You only require an ABS bleed after fitting a new unit.

No.
After replacing the lines, good time to flush the system clean before bleeding.

What do you mean by flush the system clean exactly mate?

Just empty the reservoir, refill with new fluid, bleed each brake(longest circuit first) by sucking or pumping until you get fresh fluid to the bleed point.
Keep an eye on the reservoir fluid level and keep the level above the min mark.

vz sedan vs ute gsx1400
get some hose clamps and clamp the old hose change the hoses one at a time bolt it to the caliper than undo the old hose from the body and do up new hose
dont let the m/c drain or its more work bench bleed and abs hassles

you can get fuel/ brake hose clamps from supercheap repco and other auto stores not dear very handy when you do these kind of jobs, i have these

i also have safe brake braided hoses on the ute been on 4 years now and no problems

Don't clamp your new hoses!
