Could not find a sutible place than here to post this I did this today and though I`d share.

Its a pain when you have a large doco or book to read on PDF and you have to do it in parts, and then only to find that you can`t bookmark especially if its 2000 pages lol.

this is a free javascript bookmark plugin upgrade

step 1 download it..
http://www.aldenta.com/downloads/pdf_bookmark.js

step 2 find out what version you have and operating system you have.

Adobe Reader 9 – copy pdf_bookmark.js to:
  • Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_x86/JavaScripts (or similar)
  • Linux: /home/[User Name]/.adobe/Acrobat/9.0/JavaScripts/
  • Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\JavaScripts (or similar)
  • Windows 7 & Vista: C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\JavaScripts
Adobe Reader 8 – copy pdf_bookmark.js to:
  • Mac: ~/Library/Acrobat User Data/8.0_x86/JavaScripts (or similar)
  • Linux: /home/[User Name]/.adobe/Acrobat/8.0/JavaScripts/
  • Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\8.0\JavaScripts (or similar
Adobe Reader 7 – copy pdf_bookmark.js to:
  • Mac: ~/Library/Acrobat User Data/7.0/JavaScripts (or similar)
  • Linux: /home/[User Name]/.adobe/Acrobat/7.0/JavaScripts/
  • Windows: C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\7.0\JavaScripts (or similar
step 3. now highlight it and right click to copy the short cut (without the operating system name, bullet and if so the or similar part at the end of some), now paste it in your start search (run) bar in you start tab on your desktop window then just delete the generic [username] part and replace it with your username ie.. you name of your windows pc account and press enter if succesful you will come to a page that has two other java script files one has glob and the other has glob.settings all you have to do is drag the downloaded file into this area and rest it under the other two (not inside either of them) and thats it.

To use it open your desired PDF file and click tools, and at the bottom there it is, you can only bookmark one page at a time but its great if your only reading itend to end, its self explainatory on how to use so I`ll leave it at that. any questions just post here.

Hope it helps some people.
