CANT START VR!! Ignition problem.

Only issue is it won’t let me clear codes.. it comes up with “is key on? Ensure scan tool is connected properly” or some crap

It sounds like a connection issue with the scan tool. What are you using?

Nope no connection error. Snap on ethos edge. I have a vs daily & I plugged it in to it, it works and connects fine

If the scan tool is not connecting try cleaning the ALDL plug on the car. I've had issues with scan tools not connecting and it was a tarnished plug. Use some cleaner and work the cable plug a few times.

Important: VR & VS Series: Ensure ignition is OFF.

Quick Instructions VR & VS:
1. Select DISPLAY SECURITY NUMBER test & document number.
2. Replace old Key Pad.
3. Enter vehicle details and connect to vehicle.
4. Select KEY CODE (NEW KEY)
5. Enter Security Code with NO key in ignition. 6. Follow on-screen prompts.
