What a Sunday was out for a spin driving in 3rd gear doing 80kmph and flicked it back to 2nd then I heard a loud bang and lost power then pulled over and now the clutch won’t engage I here a grinding noise. It’s strange cause it’s only 6 months old when I got the whole clutch re done with a heavy duty kit

**** that is really not good would I be up for a whole new gear box?
Start by getting it looked at by a professional. Rebuild or new isnt going to be cheap

Not sure if it’s the same as yours but Holmart show a TR6060 for $5200.

Yeah ok, I've got the Series II with the L77. So ok this plus a days labour probably looking at 7 grand mark?
Is this Holmart legit and really a genuine box?

I’ve never had the need to use them but from all reports they are the real deal, fairly certain I have seen a few mentioned here buying boxes from them.
Hopefully there is someone who reads this with first hand experience about them.

So its not the gearbox which was good news but its the clutch busted and turns out the wrong clutch was installed 6 months ago but i supplied the mechanic the part so probably will loose out a few grand. I did send the supplier the Vin, Rego all info before i purchased but since its been running for this time they probably wont reimburse me.

ACL says they should be providing you with the correct part and covering the labour for replacing.
