Hi all, im attempting to work on a VH and have been unable to open the bonnet as there is no lever inside the vehicle. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The easy way.... smash out the grill and you have access to the mechanism under the bonnet, the less destructive way is to jack the car up, then you can reach up from under the front bumper to reach the release mechanism.

All you need it a long screwdriver to unwind the tongue of the what ever it is called. They have put a slot there for that reason. Quite easy to do.

Can you get some pliers on to end of cable ball inside car that used to be in pull handle?

Vice grips & someone to push down on bonnet should do trick.

Cable seized on my vk years ago had super long screwdriver somehow me & workmate popped it open...didn't help that tools were on guards somebody thought was good idea to push down bonnet not realising I had it cracked open + tools on gurad for a reason ffs!

If you look underneath at the spring wire piece, directly in front of picture, lever that to the left of the car and it'll pop the bonnet.

It's located slightly drivers side front of the car looking underneath, next to where the bonnet pin @keith reed mentioned....
