for sometime now maybe 1-2 years, has had a slow crank, this is a constant problem
to me it sounds like too much timing, but this is extremely unlikely
i believe dfi module controls timing during crank on these engines
when cranking it will turn over slower than i would expect
solenoid engages immediately and engine starts immediately, less than 1 second
but almost sounds like it is kicking back against the starter
battery tests fine,
starter is original,
trying to decide whether to wait until it wont start
or start throwing parts at it
any thought please
thanks, andrew

400k is a lot on on the original starter. I replaced mine with an OEX and it was like a supercharger was added to the starter it whipped it over that quick.

it starts so quickly that it almost seems like too much timing
if it was a slow drawn out crank, i would definitely think starter motor
suppose i should just replace it, but i don't like being "that guy"
i like to know for sure

I've come across this a few times and I think it is the connection between the cable and the starter.
