Like yea sure $600 for an OTR etc

But I just wanna ditch the **** box air induction on the throttle and put a simple black elbow in place instead....I mean $15 on AliExpress easy

BUT!!! The breather pipe/hose I cant find any adaptors for that

If I got a catch can I will still have to have the breather pipe into the air intake yea? There's no way to dodge have the pcv pipe into air intake

I don't want a pod really either, I like the air box with kn filter

Been done on here before?

Edit: cant*

See pics...

Well they say have the catch can on the drivers dirty side...from pcv valve and from plenum manifold

On the passenger side some have a second catch can

Maybe I could match the drivers side and split the plenum manifold pipe, and skip the induction pipe, 2 catch cans :)

The cans need to vent back into the inlet somewhere to maintain emission roadworthiness.

These are all over AliExpress but come with the pods

Maybe just use the indution with breather piece, and chuck in a Flexi piece to hook it onto the throttle body

All black though, not blue

Question is, if that would make any difference to power output why did Holden go to the trouble of moulding the big black box thingo?

I'd say to block access to at home people so they can't access areas down around the belt and pulleys and to encourage people to instead say...ahh can't see much better send it to a Holden dealer $$$$$$$$

I personally wouldn’t touch anything car related from AliExpress. If I were you, I’d either just do the kn filter in the air box, or just purchase an aftermarket intake for your sv6 (new or second hand)

pcv goes to vacuum so its not affected by any intake change, the rocker goes to intake before TB so only that can be affected but u could just plumb that to the intake box after the filter if u need to for same result

There are 2 screws holding the intake on. If a home 'mechanic' can't figure that out they shouldn't even be allowed to change a flat tyre!
You need to do a bit more research. Find the real reason for it being there, whatever that is.
