Fuel tank farted at me

When to fill up opened the cap and a lot of air came out mybe about 5sec.
Never had that amount come of pressure before.
Tank was low and not driven much and in the sun all day.
Fill it up to full.

Shouldn't any pressure build up vent through the charcoal cannister?

I let the fuel pump prime then start it bit ruff 2-3 sec then normal cold start.
180***kls still goes good.
I`ll see if I can find a thread about charcoal cannister????????????

Nothing you can do about the canister Pete, just have to live with it.
