Fun fuel gauge

Has anyone else had a demented fuel gauge ? Mine either works fine, rises and falls or does'nt rise at all.

Replaced my fuel, water, oil, and volts gauges with Trisco ones. Looks good with a carbon fibre backing.

yer mine occasionally wanders off on me, but i think it's either the contact point in the dash are seated properly or my fuel sender is on the way out

Mine used to get sick of the whole "working" thing and take a little "time in Lieu" Used to Sh*t me, but I just sold the car instead

I also drive a JE Camira with the same problem.

It generally works more often when the car is low on fuel

It hardly ever works, and giving the dash a good thump generally doesn't help

Anyone know a possible way to get it working? It's a work car, so I'm not interested in buying a new dial or anything.

Mines demented, have to give it a hit on the top to get it to work sometimes.

That will eventually stuff it hitting it for a good fix I used solder where the gauge pushes through the contacts worked just dandy....
