Future plans?

Heard a story that a big name ford camp has booked out a few townsville motels a few years in advance.
It was speculated by a local townville bloke that there might be plans of introducing a street circuit format race to the v8 supercar calender in a few years up there.
Sounds pretty good if its true but its only a rumor.
Anyone back it up?

Don't know how far the planning has advanced, but there was a street circuit published in the Townsville Bulletin a couple of months ago. Hoping for the sake of all us Northerners and Motorsports enthusiasts up here it all goes ahead. Will let you know of anymore developments.

I heard the townsville council launched a plan to get a street race so its either gone ahead and the teams know of it now or they are planning a team get together ? who knows

Got some new mail lately that the Townsville street race is starting to get some interest from a few people in the right directions...Could be a real chance if you believe the latest rumors.

Dead cert ....its going to happen...maybe it is going to push the Willowbank round out the back door...so we don't get a round here in the future
