Hey Guys, new to JC, as just bought my first commodore couple of days ago, (loving it BTW)

but have noticed when i take off, whether it be vast acceleration or just easing it off it will shudder it only seems to happen when power is coming on, and after still powering on at about 10k/h it will stop, so from about 0-10 it will shudder but say i keep it at a steady 5km/h it will not shudder, it is standard diff with 17" VT SS rims (did it with stock rims also) not sure whether it be wheel bearings, or diff, it feels as if the both rear wheels have massive flat spots but as stated if they had flat spots would it not keep shuddering after 10km/h

Thanks in advance if anyone can help

Check your center bearing mate, I had the exact same problem, and when I looked under the car, my center bearing joint was toast. If you look under it, from the drivers side, towards the read, and grab your tailshaft and give it a yank around, you'll be able to feel how loose it is (It's meant to be firmly in the center but it'll probably drop down).

The rubber ring in this pic is what'll be trashed on yours

Had the same problem. Cost for parts is about $100 with a mechanic doing it. Not sure on labour as I got mine lengthened and balanced.

I went to my mate who's a mechanic, quoted me $175 fitted including the part, labor etc. Went to Ultra Tune, they wanted $150 for just the part, plus $100 for labor.

Ended up paying my mate $150 cash lol. The parts are cheap as chips, it's just a rubber & bearing kit. This is exactly what my mechanic got me:

Keep in mind though mine needed to be pressed out just because it was so rooted, so you might get stung for more because of that, or yours might just come off, it's 50/50.

Not always can be the centre bearing, but can be a coulprit.
It can also be gearbox mounts
or unis as well when u have shudder under load.
