L98 pushing out steam/coolant out of overflow. The radiator, cap, water pump, low temp thermostat has been replaced. Over flow and vent hose correctly fitted.
Did a teekay test. All good.
Remove plugs, inspected, all the same.

Was the system running fine before this issue or has it been an issue since you fitted the L98 to the BMW? Looking at your sig pic you’re not running a standard VE radiator.

Are you running a proper recovery type radiator cap? I fitted an alloy radiator to my VE SSV and I had to add a separate pressurised expansion tank as the radiator cap that the radiator was set up with wasn’t a proper recovery type cap.

Hi, the engine was running fine when I first did the conversion.
I fitted a 4 inch Intake, having to lower the radiator. The recovery type cap ended up being lower than the steam vent, so I decided to fit an expansion tank. I was assuming air pockets were being trapped in the heads. Being limited with space I could only fit a small tank, that holds maybe 250ml.
I then decided to raise the radiator again as the engine was running fine before the intake mod.. The car has blown out steam 3 times now in 3 months. . Sooo either air pockets getting somewhere, or air getting sucked in after engine heats up and cools, or expansion tank needed, or...or ...or..

The 3 core radiator sucks in coolant from the overflow. I've checked that on numerous occasions. I ran a 22psi cap, and on the motorway was fine, 98-107 deg in traffic

VEGTS BUILT BLOWN E85
the LS sucks coolant from the bottom of the radiator and pushes thru the bottom end then into the heads and back out the top to the top of the radiator, pretty much anything in the system will introduce air so it has to be sealed system only overflow should be from the cap into tank where it can get back thru when it cools same as factory VE operates with pressure type cap, only if radiator is a sealed type do u use the recovery tank like the early LS, steam vents can be blocked only the fronts are used rears are blocked from factory and technically dont need them but they do help if used properly
