Jus wanting to know if it's possible to run a vr bottom end with my vt roller cam top end?
Only reason I ask is my clubby wagon came with a vt conversion and I've just spent heaps of coin on it and found out where my original motor is but it's spun a bearing..
If rebuild it will can I make it work with the vt set up?
Thanks.

I reckon it would work. Would just be the cam that needs to suit a roller.

Whats the setup your running now? A vt block and heads? Or a VN-vs block with vt heads. Roller lifters are about 700-900 bux depending who u source them through.

No, not possible. The only way you could do it is to run aftermarket roller lifters which have tie bars to stop the lifters from spinning. The early non roller blocks have no provisions for the spider plate to hold the lifters in place as flat tappet lifters are supposed to spin in operation. Given that aftermarket roller lifters run around the $800 mark, it's really not worth it.

Also, it's hydraulic, not hydrolic.
