Small update, i decided to use the VK, fitted the wider VS front end with minor mods, not road legal of course but not overly dodgy, there is going to be camber issues but ill see how it goes for now.
Original strut top:
Cut down to match size of a VK unit, the cup which the strut seats in underneath is untouched, only excess sheet metal has been removed, actually has more surface area then a VK top as i cut it down as large as would fit.
