Name: Josh
Age: 19
Model: 2001 Vx SS
Trans: Auto :/
Diff: Lsd
Engine: Ls1 with some Performance chip
K's: 136,700
Suspension: Fe2
Colour: Quicksilver
Exhaust: Pacemaker Extractors, Twin 2.5" Stainless Catback
Tint: Premium 35 (doesn't look like it though)
Price: $6700

Future mods:
OTR CAI + Dyno tune

So this is my first V8, have been saving for a few months and picked it up on Tuesday night. I originally wanted a Vx Calais but they are kinda rare and I couldn't find one so when this SS came up I jumped on it.
136k on the clock, mint condition minus a few chips which is expected for its age.

Interior is also mint condition and I mean absolutely perfect! Everything works perfectly and is in good nick.

Engine is in excellent condition except the rear main seal which is leaking a tiny bit but that is expected, also will need a new steering rack soon.

Everything feels very tight, suspension is quite stiff but still really comfortable. Handles alot better than my old Vx Berlina.

Has a perfect service history with every receipt from every service and receipts from anything purchased for the cars including the exhaust which was $3500!

Also has a Dyno sheet from 2010 where it made 201rwkw.

Would have been silly not to buy this, such good condition, all books and receipts AND female owned and driven with really low K's and only paid $6700 which is an awesome price for such a good car.

So here it is, loving it so far! all my mates are very jealous.

Any input is appreciated!

2002 VX SS
Excellent score M8. Looks nice n tidy/well looked after. A bargain price too. If you need any tips on upgrades just yell out. My SS was the same as yours originally but
mod fever took over..An OTR and tune will see an extra 30 odd RWKW's added so thats a must cos you WILL get used to the power.
Cheers

How are you liking the V8 power? ;)
Have you thought about lowering it a little?

Thanks mate! yeah the power is really nice, just accelerates so effortlessly compared to the v6 :D and no im not going to lower it, Its nice and comfy with the FE2 and the 18s, I like it how it sits :) I kinda want to keep it fairly stock looking, any money I will spend will be on the engine :)

So today I drove 30 meters down the street and my right rear tyre popped :/ slowly backed into the drive way, jacked her up and the inner sidewall had split all the way round :( put a stocky on and went the tyre shop and the guy said it was a bit flat and the brand was some pos Chinese brand that he won't even sell to people. He said they have to 40 psi, 38 at the least and they were at 30 psi because I didn't check them before I put them on stupid me.

So $300 later and 2 new rear tyres, Hankook brand which he said were a decent price and a quality tyre.

Small update: Got my cruise control working, not sure why it wasn't working before but it is now.

One of the idle pulleys or the power steering pump is squeaking alot on startup, not sure how easy it is to replace as I have to take all the intake shrouds etc off :/
Had it for over a month now and I still f#cking love it! :spot on:
