so i thought i will make a thread about my cruiser

got it a couple weeks ago to use as a daily so i can put the v8 in my VB

air condition that works

Power steering

cost me $1000
Model: 60 Series

Kilometres:: 268,582 probably not original

Motor and transmission : 2F petrol motor and a 4 speed manual

Color:beige

since i bought it the rust in the windscreen sill has repaired now it is about 99% rust free
new windscreen put in
repaired some wiring
replaced spark plugs and wiper blades

now im welding up the little holes in the exhaust, and then take it for a rwc

plans are to make it a mobile toolbox so i can work on mates/ family cars and my own so i dont have my **** all over the floor like i do now,

im going to buy a tool box to put in the back of it and was thinking of putting a 40 ltr air compressor in there as well but not sure of where to put it as i kind of got the car for my dog as well so she can come for drives, and will also install a kill switch

needs a bit of a tune but when warmed up she runs sweet

as for the paint job, some can paint of the same color should fix that

What a beast, I love the tough old toyota 4X4s, good luck getting one so cheap, and "relatively" rust free.

That's a good idea, it doesn't have to be perfect, I might do it, but I would probably look Nike some kidnapper or something and people would be afraid of me

Holden sticker - Off.

Other than that, nice work. Had another idea for paint for you - Army Khaki: Desert Style.

Holden sticker removed, the guy said that it is genuine snap-on, but by the looks of it, it was just a normal ute tool box thats been cut down to make a opening front on it, but anyway its a good toolbox

army paint would look sick, all i have to do is put some more primer patches lol

im wondering if i should buy a new exhaust or weld up the old one?, because the one i have now is welded as one piece from headers to the tail pipe amd will need to be taken out to be repaird, but its hard finding a replacement

Rip it off, find someone with a bender, and hey new exhaust!

Seriously though, I'd take it off, and patch/fix it the best I could, new mount rubbers and such etc. Might just make it last a little while longer while you track down a new exhaust.

Could also paint it a bright orange or similar, just to make it stand out. Few nice big flat areas on this, would only need a cheapish compressor and gun. (and a shitload of prepping to make it look good)
But if you go to all that trouble, I'd pick a colour off a new model of car: Holden/Ford/BMW/Merc that you like and make it stand out for the right reasons.

So.
Matt black from a can it is.
