You won’t be able to get the old outside pad on (properly) because of that lip on the pad so best to get new pads as well (since grinding it down ain’t a good thing to do)… And as I’m fussy with brakes, I’d always do both sides of an axle, new pads, new pins and new retaining clips…

That just leaves the condition and thickness of the rear rotors to consider and whether you may want to also check the front brakes  That way, fanning around a track at 180kph will feel much safer:cool:
I think I have some old ones from the front if I can find em... half worn..

Cheers

Might have a work start tomorrow... :D

She'll be right... :p

No I'll get a new set, other side has 6-7mm so not gonna swap, plenty of life in them.

So cut up the screwdriver up and even wedged a bolt in there to keep in place...:D

Temporary of course as have been dying to see if this was my clunk.

Test drove and clunk still present... altho could very well be my imagination but think it's clunking a bit less. Oh and with normal driving I never feel it. Only if I brake hard and then it's just a clink felt in the pedal. Brakes still work fine and even with pad hanging out I was still braking real hard on the track that time. Just a pity my fluid cooked lol

So yeah prob gonna invest in a brand new set of them bars. I've swapped the sway bars with the brand someone recommended. Just wondering what else is there to try?!?!

Can't get rid of limp mode as that still triggers once in 10 drives, always random and generally when rolling along, never when pedal to the metal but kinda live with it now, OBD2 scanner connected to clear the code.

Wouldn't mind getting rid of the clunk tho...

Don't forget to clean and apply a "little" brake grease to the pins as well as a little on the back of the pads

And new clips/retainers to hold them in if required

Oh and honestly didn't know but rear nearside tyre don't have much life left...

Thankfully I have 2 or 3 spare tyres with 80% tread to go on.

Rear offside is fine tho, even wear and 6 odd mm left.

I can even it up a bit... :p
