vs series2 wagon
Hay guys had a check engine light come on and got a P2097-00 code which said its the crankshaft sensor incorrect signal now I have replaced the sensor but code comes back after a few days of driving. Also have brand new og o2 sensors, injectors fitted 6 months ago. Any idea what else to look for? Cam solenoids?

Firstly,
What car is it ?
How many k’s has it done ?
Service history ?
V6 or V8,
If V6, have the chains been replaced ?,

That code can be a variable fault with the hardware,
From -
Upstream o2 sensor triggering the down stream sensor, or visa/versa
Vac leak,
Exhaust leak,
Sticky injector,
Spark Plugs partially miss firing under load, (not while idling)
Coils, (failing at various RPM)
Crankshaft sensor,
Cam sensor
Wiring/connectors, check sensors wiring,
Worst scenario, Chains replacement,

This a wide fault code, a number faults can trigger it,

I had this code some time back, and swapped various items around (as I had some spare parts on hand) to try and diagnose it, with not much luck,
Possibly reset it about 20 times, was starting to get frustrating,
It always triggered Suburbia & Freeway driving,
I wast able to nail it at one stage.
A couple of times it reset itsself, but returned not long after,

Assuming it’s a V6
There is a little bit of manual diagnosis can be done first.
Being on bank 1, (Drivers side)
Swap the Bank 1 sensors with Bank 2,
Cam sensors,
If the fault swap sides, that’s a starting point,
Swap the o2 sensors from side to side., and again see if the fault swaps sides,
(Disconnect the battery while doing. the swap, that will reset the code, then you will have it ready to see if the fault returns).
If it swaps sides, you know it’s a sensor,
If not, that rules those devices out,

Not sure if you posted an incorrect error code, but P2097 is Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System High Limit Bank 1, according to the Holden VE Service Manual. Refer to the attached.

Vident is incorrect. A quick Google search on GM P2097 and you will see. The link below promises a quick solution, don't know if it's any good!
