While we were in Echuca last week, a QLD registered Salamanca Red L34 arrived at the motel on a trailer. Just had to have look at it.
How did I know it was a L34 ? Correct 'Monaro' style wheels with extra offset, no console or radio, round headlights instead of the squarish lights.
Not exactly mint, but in pretty good nick.
Still undecided about them, love the look, but the bad memories of driving a 6cyl persist.

Is the lucky owner a member on here ?

Yes, I had one,
1977 LX, 4.2 4 speed (m20), owned it for approx 5 years and enjoyed driving it,, spent a bit of money on it, was in mint condition at the time.
It always crosses my mind, what if I still had it.

I sold it and bought a VC SL/E, what a shite box that was, one of my biggest car mistakes I made, then sold that 18 months later after I converted it to 4 speed manual,

I would just love to have a drive of one again,
Not a Hoon in one,
Just a nice drive/kruse in one. (no pun intended)

The storage facility i kept my VF2 redline had an L34 there with HDT history from Perth, apparently it was HDT’s company car for Brock, Harvey or Firth whenever they were over there. Engine code L34 on the ID plate, no radio or console just the gear stick on the floor, ah well better get another Tatts ticket !!!
