What setup are you running at the moment? It's generally not the equipment it's the technique and learning to use the camera properly.

With some of the "media" there on the weekend you could have got better shots than them from a Point and Shoot

Nicely done man, panning from the side of the road?

I'm meant to be getting out tonight, I hope the battery holds up.

Mt Coot-tha Classic Hill Climb was on this past weekend, had an awesome time on the hairpin exit :)

The Mighty Boy was seriously modified, an damn quick through that hairpin. Funny looking, but quick nonetheless :)

EDIT: In fact, that Mighty Boy had a 6L V8. How you can fit that into it I have no idea, but considering a shot of the back shows basically all the guts hanging out the back, it doesn't really fit hehe.

Yeah, panning for the most part but as they were moving very slowly I couldn't get the degree of motion blur I wanted.

To solve this I decided to try a 1/60ish exposure + spinning the zoom ring (was using an 18-55mm kit lens).

Seemed to work out rather well for a few shots, and most importantly, I'd never tried it before lol :p
