have you tried the onboard diagnostic in the dash yet?
wont cost you anything except 10 minutes of your time
less time than it took me to type it
like i said it appears there is no output from ECU, but as you have replaced ECU it is most likely wiring or corrupt signal
By unplugging the ABS module you remove that possible short on the can lines
as VXGTS said it is a very common cause of your symptoms, by unplugging it, the ABS module is eliminated as a possible cause

Do u know anyone in Perth or May be your friend, who deals with kinda of these problems? I would be more than happy to tow it to his place if he can fix.

for now can you please tell me "what do you mean by onboard diagnostic '? is it that ECU output voltage checking with multimeter? or the red mode light ?
i already have done the red mode light check, it is flashing when the door are locked but stops when I put the key in the ignition.

but the ECU wires voltage output check, I have not done may be will do it today.
I will go and buy a multimeter. I will let you know then

Thanx For the Explanation but what do you suggest me ? Replacing the ABS MODULE?

I thought that was obvious, but yes, replace the electrical unit of the ABS. Make sure you get the correct one for your car (check the part number on your existing module) buy a used one off eBay.

hi vxgts, by unplugging the ABS you eliminate it as a possible short on the can lines,
then depending on whether the warning lights go away
you then look at replacing ABS module
if lights remain then ABS is not the problem
in op case after unplugging ABS lights remained and car still will not start

I believe a VX V6 has ALDL only, no CAN.

On the one hand, his mechanic says the OBD voltages are correct (which would mean no short circuit), on the other hand, neither ALDL comm's nor the "paperclip" work. Kinda contradictory, so I wonder if the mechanic really knows his way around an OBD1 port.

Joe.

hi joe. you are correct vx v6 is aldl but that leads into a big discussion of the differences, most people are aware of the term "can" so i use it as a generic term
anyway we have been working offline and have found that there is no power to the ECU
so there is no short circuit, but as the ecu does not power up it cant report anything
obd2 vt onwards
