Pogo Stick Effect in Front End

Hey all, My VN is ****ing me off at the moment. The front shocks are crap. They make the car bounce all over the road, even on the slightist bump. There like pogo sticks. Car is lowered with king springs superlows (KHPR - 22SL) and Pedders Comfort Gas shocks (PE- 8731) Parts where put in by my mechanic, who is flat out until after easter. Shocks where installed halfway through November last year.


What can i do???

Also just went for a drive WITHOUT playing any music! and i can hear one of the shocks making a noise, when i got over a bump.

what does it do when you do the bounce test in the driveway?

same here. Found out it was the left shock making the noise. Sounds like is rattling and wants to shake itself loose when i go over a bump. Also just took the wheel off and i can grab the dust seal? is that what it is? and lift it all the way up.

I'm thinking it's not installed right.

Make sure the cap that holds the cartridge in is tight.

What size tyres are you running and what pressure is in them?

Huh?? Is that the thing on top of the strut tower?

Tyres are 235/45 R17 inflated to about 50Psi

No, there is a big nut looking thing in the top of the tube where the shaft of the strut goes in and out. Make sure that is tight.

Try dropping your tyre pressure down to 38 psi. 50 psi on a 45 profile is too high I reckon.
