Hey lads, weird one today.

Power steering started PISSING everywhere. Pulley was shooting fluid all over the engine bay.

Swapped a reco pump in, was still doing it until I found a hole worn into the high pressure line that runs over the oil filter and under the pulley. Somehow, the line has been touching for the last month and worn through idk how this happened. Anyone have any ideas?

Also looking for a replacement line if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Cheers

2 hard lines? Those are for the transmission cooler if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe something came up from the road and hit the hard line?

Maybe. They’re defs power steering. Lines run back to the rack

I don't remember a PS hard line coming that far forward. Either a wreckers or search online, fairly sure you can still get new high pressure power steering lines to suit.

Power steering return line comes down the drivers side,on the inner guard.

Those 2 lines that where mentioned are transmission cooler lines.

Have another look, but do a decent clean first.

To replace the lines all driver side accessories need to come off as well as exhaust manifolds. It can be done but it's easier to leave the lines there, cut either ends and replace with rated rubber hoses.

Idk if I could do that myself. Reckon a mechanic or someone here located in Adelaide could do this? Would they take the job or is it too risky

Any mech with do the easier job over replacing the hard lines and add rubber hoses. Speaking from experience here.

You'll need a tow there for safety. But give them a call to see what they say. Go with which ever one your comfortable with and their recommended fix vs dollar amount.
