Clean it all out, then add rust killer.
Prime, undercoat, finish coat to finish the job.

Surprised none has indicated the cost of just buying new replacements.
Suppose like most things in "new automotive" the asking price is ridiculously high - but I must check this.

Late to the party , but I generally hit up a self serve wreckers yard for stuff like this. I`ve taken a bagfull of scrivets from sill trims (easy to remove intact) for later use on wheel arch liners, replacing valances etc.
Possibly still available from dealers?
