VE SV6
Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone can guide me on how to change the heater hoses in my VE SV6. Discovered that it was leaking coolant the other day and on closer inspection noticed that one of the hoses had cracked and the other had become detached. So the car is in the garage atm and i'm stranded lol. Is it fairly simple or do i need a mechanic to do it?

Thanks :)

You buy them as a pair.

The end that goes into the firewall is simple just open and slide the spring clips back and twist the hoses to break the seal and slide them off. Very long long nose pliers are the easiest for these clamps.

On the other end you have quick release platic fittings. You will see they have a metal clip that secures them, at one section part of the metal clip is exposed. Slide a flatblade screwriver under it to lever it out then pull it all the way out. Now twist the plastic connector and pull it off.

Dont try this when the engine is hot, do it on a cold motor.
