id cut that out. thats way too far gone for rust converter.

if thats the only rust in the panel I'd grind it clean and hide it with a metal mend.

I've got the same issue on my vh. Ordered the replacement rust panel from rare spares $160 if I pick it up.. Anyone know how much a panel shop would charge to remove old one, weld and paint new piece?? up to 1k seems fair, but I'm dredding a quote!
