yeah I wish I had the skills to ride them to their full potential at times too :p
still trying to improve, mainly jumping, and just wanting to get more power to become faster.

well sounds good with the GoPro.
sorta been looking into them about how strong they are (appear to be able to withstand a fair bit)
more so interested in extra attachments like the LCD screen and that and what people would recommend getting for it. along with how long it can record for.

ill get a progress pic with it mostly black soon (the FELT)

Yeah they're quite durable. Search for 'gopro rc crash' on youtube and you'll find oodles of crash videos where they've fallen out of the sky or hit a wall and survived unharmed. I'll pose some questions to the gopro owners and get back to you.

From what I've found so far theres not a great deal for most of the accessories. Apart from mounting (which it looks like you've already sorted out) the only other one really is the LCD screen and if you're buying a Hero 3 thats not even needed really as you can do all the adjusting through the gopro app without needing the LCD. Not sure about recording times, only advice I got was have a look at the SD cards as they usually give you an indication of how long you can record for. Hope this has helped mate.

so update.
1. Camera footage is awesome.
just need to remember to angle it up a lot when its on the helmet

2. Master Pins arrived, but they were 1/8th instead of 3/32, put them on anyway and they line up.
they have locked the chain in fine, better then the dodgey like they were before.
but all up I had to use 4 of those pins. (at $7 a piece for a piece of metal about 2mm in dia and not even 20mm in length :s)
because 1 of the pins snapped and had to rebreak the chain shorter and relengthen with spare pins.
so much grease put on to make them work.

3. 3:15 best time so far on cressys at the You Yangs. 15 seconds to knock off though. record is about 2:32 so 3minutes would be pretty good, especially on the Tank that the Commencal is.
want to get the old giant there soon, just to crank it out as suspension isn't really required for cressys. plus the record was done on a hardtail.

4. BMX Racing: came 2nd at the local club race out of 7. :spot on:

oh and 5.
ordered new parts for the Commencal.
new dropouts for 12mm thru axles
New Deity dirty 30 riser bars (in black), the ones I wanted ended up being discontinued the day I want to buy them. so those are pretty much the same.
and new wheels will be ordered once the drop outs arrive. could be going hope pro 2 hubs and atomlab rims. or so forth, may even see how profile elite hubs would go :p
also thinking about upgrading the fork and shock to make it a bit more friendly and pedalable for uphill. (the combo of those 3 major items could see up to 3kgs dropped off the weight)

maybe. :p

the helmet mounting spot is awesome, because its point of view is great.
but I need to find out how far back I need to tilt it, otherwise its pointing pretty downwards :p
well it wasn't too bad but needs more upwards tilt on the helmet.

had it mounted on the frame of the BMX today on the seat post tube, really weird angle but awesome view.

ill test it out a few more times, get a few more attempts with it then ill probably put some videos up.

well a parcel arrived.

new bars, Deity Dirty30's in black.
new Tyres, Maxxis Minion DHF's one in tacky one in a bit more durable. (for future use)

next up. the drop outs and then I can go order the wheels.

then some thoughts have come up on new forks, shock, maybe a 2x9 chain set up.
also thinking about a new stem just because.
you know basically rebuilding the entire bike... :p

Deity dirty 30s now on.
looks much better getting rid of the rainbow from the commencal bars.

also a bit lighter and a bit more of a back sweep, which felt really nice.

let the weight shedding project begin.
