Torque setting for tie down bracket in ute

Can someone please tell me the correct torque setting for the t45 torx screw that fastens the tie down bracket to tray in the VE ute? 28nms?

Tighten it till it just about breaks....Should cover it

What tiedown points are we talking about? Those flimsy brackets just below the side rails? If yes I don't think its critical, just do them up firm and be done with it.

Yes those flimsy brackets. I tie downed a dirt bike and first trip one of the brackets bent to horizontal. Got a replacement one - rang Holden but they refuse to give me torque spec. First time
Owned a Holden - can’t believe they sell you bracket and bolt but won’t tell me the torque spec to tighten it. Very frustrating

I Take no Responsibility if its wrong, but often I'll search up torque specs for things if not given.
Looks like a T45 can go up a fair bit.

thanks … I have tried my torque wrench on another one of the screws until it first moves- they seem to have been tightened to 25-28nms

So bugger all torque....

The torque setting has nothing to do with bending the bracket.....

Just shows the bolts were tight enough to begin with without the settings
