My ve ss 6lt has a fuel problem running very rough you can smell the unburnt fuel and at ldle it goes from 500 rpm up to 1000 rpm

My friend has an old scan tool and it said bank 1 and 2 to rich. I have know idea what that means

O2 sensors read what the exhaust gas makeup is and adjust the fuel air mixture-brief explanation, so it would seem you have an O2 sensor issue, did he give you a code for the fault, the one in the pic attached is the pre-cat one, there is a post-cat also, each side of engine has these, sensor1 pre-cat, sensor2 post-cat
