Latest mod. C-tek quick connector :p
Your solution works and looks good and seems straight to me

I took a different approach and utilised the trailer connector (service brake pin) as I didn’t want the ctek cable pressing on the boot seal when the boot was closed. My first version worked really well despite the x499 “death lead”.

I did updated the trailer plug adapter using the ctek traffic light 8mm eyelet lead, the one with the inline fuse... which migrated to the x499 connector battery lead and replace the manky old one I used. I must update my post to reflect this version 2.0 and I must also source a mating X499 male connector and some pins to make the x499 battery adapter lead 100% idiot proof.

But as you don’t have a tow bar, doing similar would be much more work :(

No tow bar for me. All good, no issues with the cable pressed up against the boot seal. 5yrs that way and looks/feels brand new.

nice aux plug too. I place a dual AUX power socket up under the parcel shelf in my Redline.

Genuine too, 92260576.
Yours is a pain ion the Ar8e when you change your battery. Mine is hidden away and I can still take off the trim easily on the battery side of the car. Plus I wired mine so it come on only with the Accessories to run my rear camera and also the esky if i take it on a trip.

Not really, had the trim off the other week when I installed the ctek adapter. Bracket for the Aux port is easily removed. Much of a muchness.

It's been a while since last post. New shocks installed, Monroe GT Sport all round to compliment the SL King springs I already had.. KYB front strut tops with new bearings. Also bought some new boots, Bridgestone Potenza Sport.

Interested to see what you thing about those Bridgestones.

Was there a specific reason for changing the shocks ?

OE Rear shocks were shagged, so decided to change all 4. Lucky as my OE front strut tops had some cracks.

Currently running Nitto Invo which I have absolutely loved. So much grip in the dry, surprisingly good grip in the wet but **** when ambient temp gets cold in winter. Can't get Invo's in 275/35/19 anymore. Was going to try Zestino Gredge RS and again can't get stock, so will try Potenza Sport.
