Hate too say it but had an rb30 skyline (R31 TI) and it ate the 5 L commies/falcons for breakfast in a straight line , it could sit on 190kmh all day (off road of course)...very reliable engines ...weak spot maybe headgaskets .... R31'S had handling issues much like the 3.8 vs commies 'to light in the rear end'...prone to fish tailing on sharp corners luckily the r31 power steering had good gearing and you could pull them back in after a wobble if you could spin the steering wheel fast enough....lol....Long time ago....in the good ole days....Another car that was fun to play with was the v8 HQ if you knew the method you could 360 them while driving in a straight line...all done off road of course.... :eek:

Yes my error.

Seems the 114Kw RB30E and 150Kw RB30ET were both single cam heads, the T variant with single turbo.… For some reason I wrongly remembered a twin cam head in the VL :rolleyes:
It’s not uncommon for people to fit twin cam rb25 etc heads from skylines on to vl’s but never came from factory like that
