Yeah I've kept it pretty clean for a daily driver and it still has heaps of power. I've owned it for 25 yearsThe real deal! Tasteful subtle grey/black pinstriping. She's aged really well. You just don't see other Vn's like them.
That is super cool!APV is relatively little known these days, but it was a serious player in the performance Holden market after the legendary Peter Brock and Holden split in 1987.
In 1989, motoring writer Bill Tuckey wrote in the Financial Review: "One of the other five companies offering hot-rodded Holdens – and certainly the one that presents the biggest threat to HSV – is APV Special Vehicles Pty Ltd. It is owned by four former senior executives of Brock’s HDT who tendered for the replacement contract, won eventually by Walkinshaw. Jeff Hughes, Neville Page, Rob Payne and Ray Riach picked themselves up after Brock’s break with Holden’s and set up their own company in July, 1987.
In APV’s first 12 months, they delivered 210 full-built Commodores and 300 modified to special private and/or dealer orders;
Build# (292)? it’s dated October 1989 out of the Holden factory and November 1989 out of the APV facility.

Nawce! Are those the silver APV wheels? Wondering if ROH would do a remanufactured 5 spoke. If you can get a mould made of your front lip. So many have been destroyed and now SS swapped...This is my apv that I will be tidying up soon. Been told its a fully optioned apv but haven't checked the paperwork under the carpet yet.
Was told the dealership fitted these wheels when the car was originally purchased. So they wouldn't be a apv wheel I don't think.Nawce! Are those the silver APV wheels? Yeah not sure if you also look at the blueish one above. The APV center cap would fit that wheel. The ROH (stamped rim) APV wheels pop up now and then in Vic 15 & 16's. There was a shop in Bathurst making a white ROH five spoke a couple of years ago. The former APV facility manager will probably make contact with you too... sometime.Was told the dealership fitted these wheels when the car was originally purchased.
