VS Bonnet wont lock shut

hey guys got a problem with the bonnet, it opens no problem, but closing it i need to hold the release and smack the corner of the bonnet to close it. happened randomly one day and its bugging me.

any help appreciated, cheers guys

You might need to wd40 and then plenty of grease on the latch

you could pull the little catch out and bend it a little thats what i did and fixed it or it could be possible that your locking spring thing on your bonnet has come loose

i know my bonnet had an issue, it would shut fine but wont open well without a smack to the front of the bonnet to release the spring catch, simply keep tightning the spring on the bonnet till it locks into place with the release lever, once done success

yeh well i looked at my mates vs,and on mine the spring with bonnet cable in it is actually in the centre of the hole? stretched cable?

wat u can do then is pull hte lever out from the hole and bend thelocking pin, that can work as long as u dont bend it tooo far

Yeh, problem fixed guys. the cable has moved from in the clip tat holds it, just near the left end of the radiator, was a bit perished and looks to of slipped, and i bent the locking pin. :)

thanks for the help guys :beer chug:
