Vs commodore steering wheel buttons

Is there an aftermarket head unit that works with the vs commodore steering wheel buttons or nahh?

Most do have the provision for them that need to be wired in. Some have a converter box and others won't. They are resistive type so check your chosen headunit.

You will need to hook into the loom from the column to connect to the headunit
