Hey all. As the title states, I'm having an engine code coming up as came angle sensor- range and performance 341
And low voltage 342

Any ideas on how I'd even start to fix this problem?

Only thing stopping me going through road worthy. .

Cheers all

Probably a safe bet that a new cam angle sensor will fix it. Probably not a bad idea to do the crank angle sensor at the same time. Check the wiring and make sure its ok aswel

Thanks mate. I have a new one on the way. Hopefully that fixes it. Now to deal with the abs problem, rear left valve or something like that... Cheers mate

Replaced sensor but the engine light is still on. Does that mean I have to get the code cleared

Afaik, some codes will clear on there own, others need to be cleared with a scan tool (tech2). I think it just depends on how critical they are. Did u inspect the wiring aswell?. U may be able to clear the code by disconnecting the battery, holding ur foot on the brake for a couple of seconds to discharge any remaining current in the system, and then reconnect the battery after half an hour. Someone else will hopefully be able to confirm if this method actually works tho

Info from the Holden Service Manual for DTCs 341 and 342:

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE CPL (Check Powertrain Light)/DTC
• The PCM turns the CPL OFF after the first ignition cycles that the diagnostic runs and does not fail.
• A last test failed (current DTC) clears when the diagnostic runs and does not fail.
• A History DTC clears after forty consecutive warm-up cycles, if this or any other emission related diagnostic
does not report any failures.
• The PCM battery voltage is interrupted.
• A Tech 2 scan tool is used to clear the CPL/DTC.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
• The following mechanical problems may cause this DTC to set:
- Poor connections/terminal tension at the sensor
- Camshaft reluctor wheel damage
- The sensor coming in contact with the reluctor wheel

So now I'm getting cam sensor low voltage, even after replacing the battery... what can be the problem now? The engine light will Com on for a few minutes, then go away for a few... not on constantly. Cheers guys

Hahaha typical...cam and crank sensors normally skitz out at the same time. Replace ur cam sensor
