I am no expert but after the trouble I have had with my TPS (throttle position sensor) let me give you my rough guide.
Are you getting an engine alarm light? If you are you can get the alarm code with a paper clip. Just type in error codes here and you will get great instructions how to get your error codes. Error code 22 indicates Throttle Position signal to low.
A faulty TPS also has obvious running issues including the engine revving higher than normal. Hard gear changes. Not changing into top gear. A flat spot does not seem like a TPS issue, but I could be wrong.
I believe the TPS for a VX is the same as a VT. Ebay sellers it appears have now amended their parts lists for TPS to more correctly reflect the vehicles they fit. So after checking in your car what your TPS looks like then compare it to a 17106681 (black insert) TPS. I believe thats your part.
