Damn that's sad, but great save.

Are those door frame rubbers being saved at all?

I have a box full so haven’t pulled them out. The drivers was shagged.
I rescued the front door regulators (power) the carpet isint too bad but I don’t really need it. The rest of the shell is trashed. Pretty much every panel is dented and the front was cut. Doors are okay, but I really dislike removing them unless I have to.

Indeed.

My sentimentality makes me think about the excitement someone had when that car was new.
I used to be sad about some of the auction buys I made. We got a few cars that were pretty well looked after with a hard hit that took them off the road forever. Save the parts we could so the others can live on!!

We also got some absolutely flogged stuff and I couldn’t believe they were still on road. Gloves on for those for sure!

Nothing special. But make up some items for some bnc coax switching with a bunch of parts from the electronics shop.
$30 in parts and 2hrs labour.
So much finicky soldering onto dpdt switches and all that.

And then noticed some battery leakage from an old lego excavator I had. Forgot to take the batteries out many years ago.
So pulled the controllers apart. Cleaned up the acid like stuff. Desolated the unit to fully clean it and put it back together.

Seemed like a big day with the soldering iron on the work bench. For what looked like very little gain.

Rear pads and fluid flush. Curiously the Bendix ultra prem didn't last as long as I expected.
This could be the last set the car gets, or not. Who knows..?

Watch your god damn mouth boah.

That is not going to happen. You will keep the car. It will be eternal.
