neighbour mixed up gossip is the best.
She would have to be themost nosiest neighbour I have ever known.
Many years ago my wife was called into work on her day off. This neighbour raced over to look out the windows and the windows winder got her in the eye which turned into a beautiful shiner. Sometimes when I'm outside I just randomly wave to some invisible person down the street, 9 times out of 10 she will look out the window to see whom I'm waving at.

Finished removing the exhaust manifold on the GTI. Well, I have it off enough to get the old gasket out. Will likely need to drop the turbo coolant line to facilitate cleaning the surfaces.

Getting it back together will not be fun.

New gasket is waiting to be picked up and I ordered a new timing belt kit and water pump for the LandCruiser. Havent reached the required KM but i changed the belt when I bought the car 11 years ago so definitely time for a change.

I gapped some new NGK TR6 spark plugs to 0.030 for the VX

They are now back in their box, as gapping plugs with your right arm in a sling (shoulder rebuild) is do-able, changing them is another thing all together, and I will need to wait for another week or 2, or 3 until I can contort myself enough to do do that

In other, Honda Accord Euro related news: The Minister for War and Finances is using it for a while whilst the boy has her Itsabitchsi ASX which is a auto

She says she is having fun reving it to 7800 rpm and rowing through the gears (I told her the car needs to do that as much as possible, LOL), but, she currently isn't taking my critiquing very well IRT driving the manual

Me: "Don't keep pressure on the shifter after changing gears honey", "don't ride the clutch honey", "you need to shift down honey" (doing 60 kph in 6th gear going up a hill), "you need to shift before the limiter honey"

Her: sideways glance verging on going high order explosion

I did notice that the paint on the boot spoiler has faded lot . The clear coat is perfect just the paint underneath, you can only see it in full sun .

Got a quote today to fix some suspension niggles on the 15 year old Territory.
$2,400 ..... wipe the eyes
Yes, it is Pedders, but I have dealt with them before, and have no complaints, and it is 10 years and 90Km since any work was done, including wheel alignments.
Yes, I know that a lot of members will think it is expensive, and do it themselves with Ebay parts for a lot less, but I am well past DIY and have enough fun tickets saved. I am convinced that keeping an old car roadworthy is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying any newish car that I don't like.
