What is this button?

Im just curious as to what this button on the dash of my 2000 vt commadore is for, ive only ever seen on other models but cant figure out what it does.

There's a good chance your car is an ex police car

That button kills the dash and interior lights

And possibly brake lights too.

For the Ejector Seat,
Indicating to not bump you head on the light on the way up !
