Where is best place to put VF2 on Jack Stands?

My VF2 Ute has been on jack stands for 5mths and I'm using the normal jack points with no issues so far.

I use a trolley jack to lift it and yes, I too use the normal jacking points for the stands.

Same here, I just use the jack points as shown in the owner's manual.

As a side point, I much prefer double or thick pin stands over the ratchet types.

Here's mine I bought them from Repco years ago.

Heavy buggers though.

Apologies for hijacking the thread.. I have 2 quick, silly questions:

The front 2 jacking points shown in that pic (so the 2 directly under the side mirrors) are they part of the chassis?

Are they rust proof from factory?

Poor girl has had an accident, and needless to say there are now several deep scratches on both those points. I am wondering if I need to treat the metal or not?
