Having seen both the VC fillerneck and a VS tank, the VC filler neck appears to be one piece from the tip to the tank....The VS filler neck seperates from the neck to the tank via a rubber hose.

I did relocate the filler neck on a VC I had written off...I cut the filler neck, and with the aide of some rubber hose, I was able to reconnect it altogether...

Interesting, Rare spares do a detachable filler neck for the 1st gens so may just be able to grab one of them with a joiner. Might have a chance of selling the original tank then if I haven't lopped off the filler neck.

Going to need vn-vs filler neck then 20/30mm or so off it...fairly sure vb-vl filler necks are different size so too hoses to top of tank last time I checked as I chopped filler neck off an early.

Rare Spare tanks are vn-vs efi tanks...where sender unit bolt holes are they just have tabs tacked in so you can slot in twist/turn sender units.

Just got to trim down filler neck & I think efi tanks have larger overflow hose so check you can get it through chassis rail/floor pan gap....sender units close enough in spec to early girls.

Cool, I'll have a squizz when I get the old tank out.

Next piece in the puzzle aquired, 6L80e and shifter from a VF. Not sure if I'll end up using the shifter, but I got it cheap just in case.

Its going to be a cause of many headaches and cost to make it work, but should make for a great car for actual driving,
