    15" wheels on VF

Phew - what a journey. Really appreciate your notes as this was the exact path I was going to take if nothing else came up locally. If you don't mind doing an update once it is sorted and let me know the sway bar links you chose, that would be a tremendous help ! Too much in the dark at the...

    15" wheels on VF

Ha, ha - 1 st time out with a brand new engine, supercharger, gearbox & tail-shaft - reckon I'll be on a roll ! (or picking up pieces )

    15" wheels on VF

Thanks - I've been looking and asking around. Trying to locate people who have done this or know of a shop that has done it. Made a few inroads and I'll see what I can find @ the next Adelaide Roll Racing as I see a few cars running 15's and generally people will help out with information

    15" wheels on VF

Wow - thanks for all that detail / research. It is really helpful as I'm trying to get a handle on what the changes are and what alternatives there are. While it seems reasonably straight forward, my gut tells me it will not be so & the $'s will mount up. However, we need to address traction...

    15" wheels on VF

Roll Racing traction - I'm looking at fitting 15" rears on my VF wagon & understand that there are some issues - Potentially size of rear brake kits and fouling the control arms. Has anyone done this and can share their journey?

Cheaper alternative for VE Wiper Blades

Going for 35 pages :) Check out Wipertech who have a huge range, plus some technical points on the elements of construction of blades which may be of interest both in materials and the mechanics of keeping them on the screen, not floating about a bit. Also take a look at Uniwiper. They can...

Cheaper alternative for VE Wiper Blades

Take a look @ 2 local companies for Holden (and other way less popular makes) - Wipertech & Uniwiper. We had to replace a rear wiper on an Equinox - Holden couldn't be bothered, not stocked by the usual suspects (Repco, Supercheap etc). Uniwiper had a replacement shipped in a couple of days and...

What octane fuel do you use?

In my experience, the simple answer to the worth of E85 is if you have supercharged the motor to get performance, have it correctly set up for flex fuel (fuel flow etc as it is less efficient in terms of usage) then E85 will give you more power. Before & after dyno figures show the improvement.

What octane fuel do you use?

I believe VF (at least) have the flex-fuel capabilities as standard, so run what you like. The higher the octane rating theoretically the more power. Issue with E85 is it is less efficient in terms of mileage but produces more power which is why we use it at the track - by that equation to...

What octane fuel do you use?

Car is set for Flex - use 98 for getting around & E85 at the track. Always a bit of a juggle to arrive at the track with minimal 98 so the mix of about 40l of E85 is mainly that. On the trip home I fill to the top with 98 as the E85 goes "gluggy" and fouls the lines / long crank cycle etc if...

    Roll racing - front runners

Sorry for the delay in replying and thanks for the info. I'll look into it as althought we are just over 200k's at the end of the run, the upside is there is a decent run-off distance. I'll get some info re the options & see if I can calculate the wheel & tyre combined weight saving & figure...

Roll Racing - how to ?

Drag strip will be a great addition, for sure and agree fun rather than winning with no chance of getting a ticket ! Love the sound of that car - just a perfect note. Wet kit should make a BIG difference. Give us a shout when you're next up there - black VF wagon "HOLDON"

Roll Racing - how to ?

Thanks - I'll do some research & post anything that seems practical and is being used in this environment. How are you doing ? RR or drags now?

Roll Racing - how to ?

Here we are 12 months and 8 or 9 runs into Roll-Racing. Have been gradually upgrading the car and monitoring performance. Higgins flowed heads then 10% overdrive pulley and most recently E85 flex-fuel conversion. Been using your launch tactics for an auto and they work great, however now with...

    Roll racing - front runners

Thanks for the response - weight is a serious consideration. We keep the car as standard / presentable as we can with nothing other than the spare stripped out but a Calais wagon against a ute does have a fair weight penalty. Switching the rears is going to save around 30 kg so to do all 4...
