2012 Sv6 lpg sports wagon towbar fitting

FYI this thread. I just fitted a new 1200kg bar to a MY12 DEDICATED LPG Sportswagon and inside the rail slots is a welded in tab to prevent a large capacity towbar being fitted to the DEDICATED FACTORY LPG sportswagon. As it was we had to cut slots in the new towbar to get it to fit. Not an...

Don't buy a cheap Chinese oxygen sensor

Got the replacement yesterday & fitted it today. Not working. I think the it must be the pins are not making contact in the connector so I'll get a connector from the wreckers & try that. Anyone got any others suggestions or seen this before?

VN Level 1 cluster swapped to VP Level 2

The VN/VP clusters are almost identical but a couple of pin outs are different. I did a vn cluster into a vp & from memory the left indicator dash light didn't work until I changed the pin over. Etc etc. From memory I think there were 3 pins different. Also check the three leg voltage...

Don't buy a cheap Chinese oxygen sensor

I took the chinese one out today & put the old delco back in. It is showing an output & variation so it's working. The chinese one definitly not working. So not my wiring loom. Looking at the cheap one, the pins are much thinner. Maybe they're not making a good connection. The seller is...

Don't buy a cheap Chinese oxygen sensor

or anything effin chinese. I bought a $35.00 2 wire O2 sensor off Ebay & installed it yesterday. My old sensor (a Bosch I think) faulted the dash light a few weeks ago for a few minutes then the light went out. But, my fuel economy went thru the roof so being broke & a cheepskate I...

1993 VP wagon turns 20. Gods War Chariot

This ####ing car is still going! I swear I'm the last bastard standing in the VN/VP forum. Since I last posted in this thread the old bitch has had: Yet another crappy chinese radiator, 3rd one. Fuel sys overhaul, pump, regulator, all new hoses to the tank, return hose in the tank. Air con...

    vn commodore help

This is almost certainly a cracked crank angle sensor. Car stops when warmed up & won't start. 1/2hr later car starts & runs fine. Next time it happens pour cold water over the sensor & try starting. If it starts the sensor needs replacing. What happens is the plastic surround warps from heat...

    Better fuel economy and power.

I did all the fuel tank lines when I changed the pump & return hose(in the tank). The biggest fuel consumption drain was the fuel pressure regulator leaking into the manifold. $20 part. Check for vacuum leaks. Tranny ok? Check torque converter locks up ~95km/h etc. Oil change & filter improves...

    Carbon Canister

Is the car hard to start after sitting overnight? If so it's the fuel pressure regulator leaking into the manifold. It can leak a lot of fuel over a few hours as the pressure drops off. Run the engine to get the pressure up then switch off & disconnect the small vacuum hose on the regulator. It...
