Finally took the ute out this weekend after 10 yrs in storage Th brake pendal went to the floor, I check for leaks in the master cylinder and wheel cylinders, they were ok. The brake fluid was the only thing I didn’t change as I didn’t have my vac bleeder. Any ideas??.

Ive now filled the tank and get a guage reading of 3/4 tank The sender wire terminal shows 18ohms

Tested the sender out of the tank It tested ok. Bent the sender arm as far as I dare go. Guage now reads 1/2 tank with 45-48 litres in it

Ive tested the guage using a resistor and it’s ok Ive tested the new sender in the tank with approx 40ltrs of fuel in it and it reads 73 ohms.

Ive just replaced the sender unit in my wb ute as th old one was blocked with old crap fuel Ive put approx 40 ltr of new fuel in it The dash( gts style) shows the needle just above empty. How long should it take for the fuel guage to react to show a normal fuel level?

Hey there I need to clean/ replace the sender unit in the tank. The tank is still installed the ute and has a bit of old stale fuel in it Whats the best method to remove the lock ring on the sender? Was there a tool used to install/ uninstall back in the day?

Does anybody know if there is a one way valve in the fuel line back to the tank or in the pick up?. Im trying to work out if i have a blockage in the line or pick by blowing compressed air from the engine side. What ever air i blow in come straight back at the same pressure

Ive blown air from the engine bay side back into the tank. Im gonna siphon tank out from the fuel filler. If theres no fuel in the lines will the fuel pump still pull fuel thru when i start the car?
