I think 2 bolt with main studs and a girdle will do on a stock stroke deal. Probably some better rod bolts wouldn't hurt.

Ask @Smitty what his bottom end has in his race car.
He has stock VN spike rods if memory serves me correctly.

If you've ever built a decent 355 stroker you'll want every engine at larger capacity not just extra power you get but mostly for the streetability it gives especially for street car.

Biggest differences aside from budget & mods etc is stroker will walk/fret the caps much earlier than you could rev out a 304...if you lined then up side by side same mods but cranks...stroker be way couple cars ahead due to better torque curve.

pic... says it all

ps.. use DECENT rods too ( I am using EFI style A9L rods with 3/8 ARP bolts)

Being 2-bolt and girdle, what do you rev this 5-litre to on the circuit?
tach is set at 6800....
but exceed that now and then...
like when having a fight with someone trying to pass ;)

Famous words to me from one of the best.... Ian Tate
....you need to go faster?
just rev the pharker more ok!
